E4 Sting

A slightly longer project was to create a character in Illustrator for the E4 audience and then to take it into flash to make a sting to use in between programmes.

Second Year!

I'm a blimmin' second year now. It's going too quick, nearly halfway through.

For the beginning of the year we started to do many mini projects that lasted about 2 weeks each.

Background Design

I chose to do a seaside town for my background, as I liked the small assorted coloured houses. It was actually inspiration from my flatmate Jade after visiting her house in Portishead, Bristol.

I drew the image first and scanned it in and photoshopped the rest. It was difficult trying to work out lighting, shadows and the perspective but it's not too bad for a first go!

Flour Sacks Animation

This project was to animate two flour sacks interacting with two different personalities. They somehow had to get across the crevice. I think I could have put more interaction in me animation and make emphasise the bigger sack's personality more.

Advert Animatic

A previous project was to storyboard an advert, I chose the Lynx chocolate man ad. With these previous storyboards we had to make an animatic in Storyboard Pro.

Animating Animals

I think this was one of my favourite projects from first year. I prefer animating animals over people. Heres my pet owl and lion...

Timing and Mechanics

Project was to animated moving objects with an aerial to show movements of slow and fast motions, then of a flag in the wind and then finally of a whip.

Could have done much more to make it better but I do like my lil flag.

Painting & Film

Another project for my first year in animation. Had to create a movie but only by looking at a certain painting. We had to do this in Adobe Premiere to create camera movements and so on.

I found this nice painting by Leonid Afremov and I put some lovey dovey music over it.

Sound Sync

I had to create an animation to a piece of music. This was a group project and we were given 10 seconds of a 30 second audio clip. My sequence is at the end.
